About FAHSANU

FAHSANU is an acronym for Faculties of Arts/Humanities Scholars’ Association of Nigerian Universities. It was established in the year 2018.  It is an umbrella body for all academic disciplines in the Arts and Humanities which seeks to foster interdisciplinary synergies. The idea was mooted by the then Dean of the Faculty of Arts, University of Calabar, Nigeria, Professor Dorothy Oluwagbemi-Jacob who became the pioneer President of the association with Dr Edward Ugbada Adie as pioneer Secretary-General.

Among many activities of FAHSANU are the regular annual conferences and publications in the FAHSANU Journal of Arts and Humanities. The set goal of this association is to unite disciplines in the arts and humanities towards breaking new grounds in new knowledge production.

Publication Ethics

FAHSANU publishes twice in a year from papers presented at her conferences and articles received after call for papers. All articles undergo very critical peer review system by the various editors of the association after which quality papers will be selected to undergo quality censorship by their authors and editors before they are published.

On some occasions, FAHSANU may embark on doing special editions of her publications. Note that FAHSANU would not tolerate articles that are already published or accepted for publication elsewhere. We also have zero tolerance for plagiarism or any form of academic fraud.
